Our client seeks a Dermatologist for a general practice with no cosmetics. There is only one other dermatologist serving a population of over 600,000, and new patients have a four-month wait. There is no MOHS surgeon in the area and this skill would be a welcome addition. The opportunity to teach primary care residents is available if interested. The clinic has an active research division in which the dermatologist can participate.

The new physician will join the largest multispecialty group in northeast Arkansas, with over 95 providers in 32 specialties. This is a financially sound first generation medical group whose original founders are still in practice. The practice is integrated with the regions largest health system, and is positioned well for future growth. In fact the group recently announced plans to construct a new 76-acre hospital/clinic complex that adopts the Mayo Clinic Model of design.

THE PRACTICE:

  • VOLUME/TYPES OF CASES: Expect to see 160 patients per week. Procedures to include laser, dermabrasion, narrow band UVB and PUVA.

  • ON CALL: Flexible with little or no call required.

  • SCHEDULE: 4-1/2 day work week, 8-5 hours

    • PAYER MIX/MANAGED CARE: Commercial: 55%, Medicare: 30%, Medicaid 10% with minimal managed care

    COMPENSATION:

  • The practice offers a competitive 2-year guarantee, production/ancillary income bonus, and relocation allowance.

  • The group provides full benefits, including family medical and dental insurance, disability/life insurance, malpractice, paid time off, pension, and CME allowance.

  • Partnership is available after two years of employment with a minimal buy-in.
