Progressive Hospital System in Peoria, Illinois is looking for BC/BE Non-Invasive Cardiologist-Job #17734 and Invasive Non-Interventional Cardiology-Job #17735 to join their practice due to growth in the practice. Hospital currently employs about 85 physicians in primary care and various specialties giving you a strong referral base. They have offices in Peoria and throughout the region. The Hospital is a 346 bed teaching institution and is affiliated with the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

This Hospital System is home to the area's longest continuously running open heart program. Their Heart Institute offers the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic services include an advanced PET/CT scanner, an ultra-fast 64-slice CT scanner, and MRI.

Their exceptional facility includes open heart suites, as well as state-of-the-art EP and cath labs. Their Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center and has the area's largest dedicated Chest Pain Center. Their STAT program helicopters heart attack patients directly to their Heart Institute from throughout the region for immediate treatment. Using the most advanced information technology, they were among the first hospitals in the country to begin bedside bar-coding to ensure patient care and safety.

They also introduced Physician Portal, a secure electronic system that enables physicians to check their patients' test results and other important information.
