Southern Virginia (incl. Danville) has one of the highest U.S. rates of cardiovascular disease
Regional will be designated as a primary PCI center as of May 09
All area STEMI patients will come to Regional for their caths as of May 09
Newly signed Duke University- Regional agreement provides Duke open heart & vascular surgery support until 2018.
Duke & RMC implementing new standards of care initiatives & cardiac support
Practice Overview Practice has existed since 1989. New building (13,000 sq ft) opened in October 08 Onsite echo, stress echo, nuclear camera, holter & event monitoring, EKG, PT & ABI Weekday call (1:2) for clinic; Weekend call (1:3) shared with another cardiologist Average daily patient volumes vary from 20 45 patients per day per doc
