Located about 70 miles northeast of the Denver Metro area along I-76. The community is rural, but is close enough to the amenities of Greeley, Fort Collins, Denver, and Boulder that you can enjoy time in these communities. The main industry revolves around agriculture. We are a county of 28,000 and the town has about 12-13K residents. Area industries are agriculture based and in time we will have a greater role in the green energy movement. We have been well insulated regarding the current unemployment rate; we are well below the state and federal percentages. We have a thriving downtown area that caters to pedestrian traffic; you can catch a movie in our downtown movie theater or stop at a local eatery for a great meal. Our community offers the best of both worlds we are an easy 45-60 minute drive to larger communities with more shopping options. You can be at the airport to fly anywhere in the world in 60 minutes or in some of the worlds best skiing in about 2 hrs. Our hospital is a 50 bed Level III trauma center, part of the Life Point Hospital family. We have a new 1.5 telsa MRI, a diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, offer a specialty clinic with the following specialties (Endocrinology, Oncology, Hematology, Allergy/Asthma, ENT, Podiatry, Neurology, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Ped Cardiology, Ped Pulmonology, Physiatry, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Dermatology, Psychology, Spine Surgery, and Cardiothoracic surgery), 16 slice CT, digital mammo, US with tech available 24 x7. We have a 10 bed acute geriatric behavioral health unit that draws patients from NE, WY, CO, and KS. We have an OB unit that see about 500 births a yearover 90% of moms in our county deliver at our hospital. We have a 6 bed ICU, ED staffed by Physicians, and 4 ORs. We also have 2 Pediatricians, 3 IMs with a 4th in 2010, 1 General Surgeon with a 2nd in 2010, 1 orthopedic surgeon, 1 urologist, 2 female OB/GYNs, and 1 Oncology group located in the MOB. The hospital is quite progressive for its 50 bed size."
