Trauma Surgeon - (Surgery - Trauma) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 12/04/2016Available Shifts: 12 Hour/Day

Facility in central Louisiana seeks a Trauma Surgeon for coverage through February 2017, possibly longer. The schedule will include 12 hours of hospital coverage with call. 20-25 patients per day on average. Call a Staff Care recruiter today for more details.

Trauma surgery (locum tenens) is a subspecialty of general surgery that focuses on treating physical, often life-threatening, injuries in an emergency room setting. These surgeons are responsible for stabilizing and resuscitating trauma patients as they arrive in the ER. Trauma surgeons typically focus on neck, chest, abdomen and extremities injuries, and often work with a team of specialized surgeons in order to provide the best possible critical care.
