St. David’s South Austin Medical Center is recruiting additional trauma surgeons to join their established group of board certified critical care trauma surgeons. We are seeking two trauma surgeons during the transition from an ACS verified Level III to Level II trauma hospital. Candidates must be BC in Surgery and BC in Surgical Critical Care. Candidates with experience preferred. We anticipate a start date of 9/2016. South Austin Medical Center will be the first and only Level II Trauma Center in Austin and has the busiest ED in the city. Hospital Information: --located in Austin, TX, and five miles from downtown –anticipated 1800 trauma patients per year --316 hospital beds --10 bed shock trauma ICU with 10 bed IMC –dedicated trauma OR with hybrid suite.
