Job Description & Requirements
Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A hospital in central California is looking for general diagnostic coverage starting November 2016 ongoing every week until permanent hires can be on-boarded. The radiologist must have a CA license, a CA x-ray license, a DEA is not required. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm no call. The radiologist may be asked to work some weekends just like a weekday shift. The radiologist will read a mix of all modalities averaging 43 work RVU's which is around 70 studies per day. The group reads off a shared work list with a team of 11 radiologists. The department generates 40 MR and 40 ultrasounds each day. Will consider board eligible if graduated in the last 5 years. MQSA and Tomo certification required. The hospital will give preference to candidates who can perform needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies, but it is not a requirement. The PACS is Centricity now, but will be changing in November to Visage and Powerscribe 360 is the voice recognition system.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
