Job Description & Requirements
Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Radiology group in the Central Valley is looking for ongoing help in diagnostic radiology starting 6/6 for 4 continuous weeks maybe longer. They would like a board certified radiologist who has an emphasis in body imaging, primary modalities are plain film, ultrasound, cat scan, and MR. Mammography and nuclear medicine are preferred, but not required. This is a busy practice with the radiologist reading around 100 studies per day. The radiologist will also need to be able to perform light interventional procedures such as flouro, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, no weekends, and no call. The PACS system is DR systems and the voice recognition is Dragon.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
