Job Description & Requirements
Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 08/08/2016Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Outpatient Imaging center north of the Phoenix, Arizona area is looking for locums coverage for 2 weeks per month starting August. The client can be flexible on the specific weeks, and the position will be ongoing for the for seeable months. The client is open to splitting up the weeks of coverage with multiple providers as needed. The worksite has 2 separate chairs. The locums can work in one, or both and rotate chairs. It is up to the locum provider to decide. The first chair is the CT/MR chair- candidates will read 44 studies per day consisting of 20 cat scans, 20 MR, and 4 nuclear medicine studies. There is no PET. The radiologist will also average 1-2 procedures per day- arthograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, steroid injections, however the practice can be flexible to work around some procedures as needed. The second chair is a general diagnostic chair with strong women's imaging skills - consists of reading 30 mammograms a day (25 screening and 5 diagnostic) 50 pf.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
