Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 08/15/2016Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A hospital site in southern Arizona is looking for a diagnostic radiologist who can cover one week a month ongoing, dates flexible. Must be board certified. No mammography, no procedures, and no call. There is an opportunity for weekends if the radiologist is interested in picking up extra dates. This is a team environment. The average daily volume is 70 plain film, 14 cat scans, 4 MR, 1 nuclear medicine, 12 ultrasounds and 6 radiography. The site uses Powerscribe 360.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
