Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 01/03/2017Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day Pay Rate: $140.00 - 155.00

An adult psychiatrist is needed for inpatient coverage in Oregon starting in January. The schedule is Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm, with Call. Physician will see all adult patients to provide med checks, consultations, and patient evaluations. Call Staff Care today to learn more.

A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.

Recent inpatient experience a plus
