Job Description & Requirements
Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day Pay Rate: $140.00 - 155.00

The Army is needing psychiatry services at Ft. Bragg. The provider will need to have a current state license, and can be either BC or BE, , current BLS, and a current DEA. The provider will be working in an outpatient setting seeing both new and existing panels of patients. The hours will be M-F 730-430, with some beeper call required. This is a long term need. The provider will need to comfortable with computers and have experience with EMR systems.

A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
