Meritus Health is seeking an Executive Medical Director, Physician Practice and ACO. This is a full-time position with time split 90/10 between administrative and clinical duties.
Summary of job responsibility: Provide leadership, direction and support in the clinical management of Meritus employed physician practices and accountable care organization. Coordinate with stakeholders including but limited to Chief Medical Officer, Chief Quality Officer, Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, physician practice management, and ACO management team to drive improvements in clinical outcome, quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency, and patient experience (engagement and satisfaction) through process improvement, performance metrics benchmarking, care transition coordination, and clinical informatics.
Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Have successfully completed a residency training program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education ("ACGME") or the American Osteopathic Association ("AOA"), be certified in primary area of practice at by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Additional management training is desirable.
Experience: Previous experience in leadership/management role desirable. Respected clinician.
Licensure/Certification: Physician is currently licensed to practice medicine and has applied to the Maryland State Board of Physicians for a license to practice medicine. Application must be made for medical staff membership and clinical privileges at Meritus Health. Physician shall at all times be a member in good standing of the Medical Staff of the Medical Center.

Leadership/Commitment: Able to function in the leadership role and take initiative when necessary. Promotes teamwork with physicians and administrative colleagues; is responsive to professional staff and dedicated to improving patient care and service in the physician group.
