Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist - Physician - (Hematology Oncology - Hem-Onc-Peds -Pedi) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 04/03/2017Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Anchorage area facility seeks a Pediatric Hematology/Oncologist for coverage through 2017 beginning in August. Board-certified in Pediatrics with specialty certification in Hematology/Oncology is required. The schedule is Monday-Friday 7a-5p with little to no call. Patient census is about 5 per day. A pediatric hematologist/oncologist (locum tenens) specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and diseases of the blood in infants, children, teens, and young adults. Pediatric hematologists/oncologists treat the following in infants, children, teens, and young adults: cancers, including lymphomas, leukemias, and tumors; blood cell diseases, included disorders of platelets, red cells, and white cells; and bleeding disorders. Pediatric hematologists/oncologists can be found practicing within children's hospitals, community hospitals, and university medical centers.
