Behavioral & Developmental Pediatrician Faculty Opportunity
University Teaching Hospital plans to develop an outstanding, interdisciplinary, nationally prominent research program in pediatric autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. We seek investigators with well-developed research programs. In addition to these positions, a Program Director position is also available.
The research program will seek to identify the causes and genetic and environmental risk factors for autism and related disorders. It will emphasize early recognition of autism and related disorders, since early detection will likely be required for improved interventions to prevent, ameliorate and treat these conditions. An important focus of the program's research effort will be on genomic, epigenomic and transcriptomic factors in the development and severity of autism. A robust partnership with families, schools, providers and communities is viewed as essential.
The research program will be developed in concert with ongoing and planned research in autism and related disorders. Investigators will also be expected to collaborate with pediatric colleagues at other hospitals.
