Pathologist - (Pathology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 03/06/2017Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A prominent Northeastern Georgia health system is in need of Pathology locums coverage. AP/CP certification will be required. Coverage needed for March 2017. Please contact a Staff Care consultant for more information about this and other exciting opportunites!

A pathologist (locum tenens) studies the cause and effect of disease on plant and animal life. The field is broad, with a lot of room for specialization. Most pathologists practice in the academic or research sectors, working in medical laboratories or universities. Private companies and branches of the government employ pathologists as well. Medical pathologists typically do not treat patients of their own, but do provide integral information for other physicians in the form of lab work and diagnostic testing.
