Program will be structured as an extension of the Hospitalist group.
Work with a mid-level provider to provide initial consults on goals of care, pain and symptoms, end of life issues, and generally support the hospitalists from a palliative perspective
Position also includes a Medical Directorship overseeing Case Management
Ideal candidates must be Board certified or recently Board eligible in Palliative Medicine
Compensation includes a competitive base salary with wRVU production bonus; full benefits package; sign on bonus; and other incentives
Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 495-bed acute care hospital that serves approximately 650,000 residents of the Texas Panhandle and surrounding region. The system provides acute care services, including specialty cardiac and pediatric care, womens services, emergency, surgical and behavioral health care. Northwest also has a nationally recognized, licensed surgical center that is co-owned with physician investors. Northwest recently expanded to serve residents in Guymon, OK, as a result of a management relationship with Memorial Hospital of Texas County, a 47-bed county-owned facility. The city is located minutes from Palo Duro Canyon State Park, the second largest canyon in the country, and is on Historic Route 66. Amarillo is just four hours from Oklahoma City and Albuquerque and an hour flight to Dallas or Denver.
