Fellowship-trained Hand Surgeon to join its busy Orthopedic Division in southeastern Massachusetts. The position is available immediately, but candidates available to start in the summer of 2017 will be considered.
The Hand Surgeon will see new and established office patients with an exclusive focus on disorders and surgery of the forearm, wrist and hand. The position will include hospital consultations at the two hospitals and both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, including microvascular surgical opportunities. Group has its own Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department and has its own CT/MRI facility. Neurologists, vascular surgeons, and EMG/NCS are readily available. There is an established referral base of 110 physicians (43 Primary Care) in addition to referring physicians through the region. The candidate must be specifically trained in hand surgery and must hold (or be eligible to hold) a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand (formerly CAQ Hand) or equivalent. Salary is commensurate with training, experience, and breadth of practice.
The Division is currently staffed by 5 general orthopedic surgeons whose team covers office practices, hospital consultations, and surgical procedures.
