A healthcare network in Virginia is currently seeking a new, licensed Dentist to join their growing team in Boydton.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday
• Hours: 8am to 6pm
• Patient Population: Adults (occasional Pediatric cases)
• EMR: eClinicalWorks

Responsibilities:

The Dentist will:

• Provide general and comprehensive dentistry services and supervise dental and clinical staff
• Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical dental policies and procedures
• Diagnose and evaluate dental conditions and maintaining accurate dental records to support diagnose/evaluation
• Interpret x-rays and treat mouth diseases; provide restorations and other treatment as needed
• Perform emergency procedures on patients to reduce or eliminate pain
• Assess treatment options and agree on treatment plan with patients
• Instruct/educate patients in oral hygiene and dental care
• Assist with the development and implementation of Dental Quality Assurance
• Train and evaluate assigned Dental staff
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in Human / Social Services
• Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS)

Desired Skills:

• Experience in a Healthcare environment
• Training or direct experience in counseling, interviewing, service plan development, decision making, and information and referral service
