Executes a full range of direct pediatric occupational therapy procedures, diagnostic, and treatment services for the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS). Modalities used in treatment include neuro-developmental treatment techniques, sensory integration, and developmental compensatory skills for activities of daily living. Attends case study committee meetings and other meetings impacting the child's care. Treatment techniques consist of using a combination of neuro-developmental facilitation for children with cerebral palsy, sensory integration therapy for children with sensory-motor and learning deficits. Also included in the IEP or IFSP may be graded developmental play and craft activities for developmentally delayed infants and children or for specific skill improvement, pre-vocational work skills training for pre-high school and high school aged children, self care skills and activities of daily living skills training.
