Join 6 board-certified Ob/Gyn’s in private practice. The group also employs 2 WHNP’s and 4 FT UT techs. It is a typically a 3 or 4-day work week depending on the call schedule. Call is 1-5 days and weekends. One Physician does not take call. All physicians’ work a half day on Fridays. Day off after call. 2.5 to 3 days in the office, surgery is typically performed on your call day. The practice is 35% Ob, 65% Gyn with an average of 40 deliveries per month with 5 physicians. Each physician averages 10-12 majors per month, 10-15 minors per month. General Ob/Gyn practice with some infertility (everything but IVF). There is teaching available. Extra income is available for taking more call at either hospital ($1100/weeknight, $2200 per weekend call).
The practice has 2 office locations (20 minutes from each other). Physicians only work out of the satellite office 1 day per week the day before call. Main office is a fully equipped office with over 5k sq. ft. In office Cryo, Leep, Laser, Colpo, Hysteroscopy, Urodynamics, in office Mammography suite (all digital) and in office Ultrasound and Dexascan. They also have a Med Spa where physicians earn quite a bit of extra money (all services provided by NP’s or techs).
The practice delivers and performs 50% of deliveries out of a Hospital with a Level III nursery. Fully equipped. All Specialists. 50% of deliveries are performed at another hospital which has a Level II nursery. Both hospitals have 24hr in house dedicated Ob Anesthesiology.
The overall payer mix for the practice is Middle to Upper class. The practice takes virtually no HMO patients and only sees Medicaid patients when they have ER call. The practice is almost all PPO or private insurance and self-pay.
Very close knit group. All of these physicians are friends outside of work, the families all get together and some of them vacation together (weekend getaways etc) The practice philosophy is to provide the highest quality care and have fun doing it.
Competitive compensation package. 18 months after your start date you become a partner. After 18 months, for the next year, you receive 80% of what a partner makes (approx. 250k). The next year you receive 90% and the following year you are a full financial partner. Physicians average 350k to 400k per year. Full benefits, including 6 weeks’ vacation in your first 18 months of employment and then you receive 6 weeks per year thereafter.
