Job Description & Requirements
Obstetrician / Gynecologist - Physician - (Obstetrics / Gynecology - OB Gyn) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 03/06/2017Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

The Indian Health Service in northeast New Mexico is in need of a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/Gynecologist to provide services beginning July 1 through December 31. Any state license is accepted. The clinic hours are 8am - 4:30pm, the average patient census is 17-22 per day. The OB/Gyn will take night call approximately 1 to 2 times per week and 1 weekend per month on average.

Obstetrics/gynecology(locum tenens) focuses on women's health, caring for pregnant women during child birth and diagnosing and treating conditions of the female anatomy, specifically the reproductive system. An OB/GYN physician diagnoses and provides treatment for medical conditions such as breast and cervical cancer, urinary tract disorders, and hormonal ailments. These physicians also assist and treat pregnant women throughout their pregnancies, regularly monitoring the patient's progress and, in many cases, delivering babies and examining newborns.

Required Qualifications
Must have valid, unrestricted license in any state, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Must have BLS, ACLS, and DEA prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer previous Indian Health experience.
