SkyRidge Medical Center is a 351 bed med-surg CHS facility located in Cleveland, TN which is 25 miles NE of Chattanooga. We are actively seeking a general neurologist for a traditional inpatient/outpatient employed practice who is interested in managing a wide variety of acute neurological problems including stroke. We have recently added an AAA+ general neurologist who commenced practice in Sept. 2014 and already has a 3 month wait for new patients! SkyRidge has a primary and secondary service area of 200K. We currently have one active staff neurologist and one consulting who sees office patients only. We would like to add one more by the end of 2015 to serve the needs of our growing patient population. We work closely with the Regional Stroke Center at Erlanger in Chattanooga, TN, in a joint venture to provide consultation services for stroke patients who present at SkyRidge ED for treatment and also to streamline the process of transfers when appropriate. You may have some knowledge of the program in Chattanooga and Dr. Tom Devlin who is the medical director for the Stroke Center.
The compensation package SkyRidge provides employed physicians is extremely generous. In addition to the attractive/competitive salary, we would include full package of benefits, relocation allowance, commencement bonus, CME allowance and possibly med school loan repayment. Also, the cost of living in our area is very reasonable and there is NO STATE INCOME TAX. Just within the last two weeks, WalletHub analysis of local taxes, ranked Tennessee 6th lowest in income tax and lowest in vehicle tax of all states.
Cleveland, TN is centrally located in the Southeast, is easily accessible via I-75 and just 2 hours from Atlanta, 2 1/2 hours to Nashville and Birmingham.
Forbes recently ranked Cleveland TN 4th in the nation in cities this size for attracting new businesses and generating new jobs!!, Late in 2007 Cleveland, Tennessee, was ranked nationally as one of 50 best places to raise a family. The special report, cited on BusinessWeek.com, evaluated communities on safety, community and education. In February, 2010, Forbes.com announced it's 100 Best U.S. Cities in which to live and the greater Chattanooga area ranked # 8 on that list and in August, 2010 Chattanooga and the surrounding area was ranked #1 in the country for best economic growth potential by a national business magazine, Business Facilities!!!! In the October, 2011 issue of Outside Magazine and again in 2015, the greater Chattanooga area was named the ‘Best Town Ever’ to live for outdoor activities and in January, 2012 the New York Times ranked Chattanooga 25th as “one of the best places to visit in the galaxy”. Chattanooga is the only city outside California to be named in the New York Times’ 45 Places To Go in 2012.
