Hospitalist - Pediatrics - Physician - (Hospitalist - Peds) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 24 Hour On-Call

Pediatric Hospital
"Coverage dates and times are July 8th (0700) - July 17th (0700) , July 26th (0700) - August 1st (0700), August 23rd (0700) - September 4th (0700)
"This is for 24 hour call and must be within 30 minutes of facility
"Working on getting credentialing details but they said we would have plenty of time to have them credentialed by the July start.
"Certifications required are BC/BE, BLS, PALS and NRP
"Average about 3-5 newborns a day and about 2-3 pediatric admissions a month


A pediatric hospitalist(locum tenens) is a physician who works with children in inpatient or hospital settings. They offer care to children in multiple departments, including: labor and delivery, intensive care, the pediatric ward, and newborn nursery. A pediatric hospitalist work with regular pediatricians and other physicians involved in a child's care, to ensure the most efficient and effective treatment plan available. A pediatric hospitalist provides treatment in the areas of illness, injury, surgery, and newborn care.

The second largest city in Maine, Lewiston is included in the Lewiston-Auburn Metropolitan area. It is home to several colleges, including Bates College and the Basilica of Saint Peter and Paul.
