Hospitalist - St. Clare Hospital
St. Clare Hospital is actively recruiting two Hospitalists to join their staff. The ideal candidates for these full time positions will be BC/BE in Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. These positions will be "7 on and 7 off" and will require 26 weeks of work per year, plus sick, vacation, and CME coverage for colleagues in the practice group. Shifts will be 12 hours. Average census is projected to be 14-18 patients. Duties will include admissions, rounds with ICU/Critical Care, discharges, quality improvement, codes, consults, and committee work. PM Hospitalist may not need to remain on site but must be responsive to ED and staff calls. The new physician will be offered a competitive salary, excellent fringe benefits, and a signing bonus.
The local hospital is St. Clare Hospital and Health Services, a 100-bed facility with 24 hour ER coverage. The hospital has received several national recognitions in physician and employee satisfaction, and Quality. St Clare Hospital has a dedicated Orthopedics Unit to support the Steady Strides program. Madison Emergency Physician group provides ER coverage in St. Clare. The hospital's primary service area includes the communities of Baraboo, Lake Delton, and Wisconsin Dells, with a population of 30,000. The surgical area at St. Clare Hospital has four operating rooms and two endoscopy rooms. Block scheduling is done for each physician. Madison Radiology provides fulltime Radiology service to include call at St. Clare. MRI and CT services are provided at the hospital.
