The Everett Clinic | everettclinic.com

Some say we are a medical group, but we like to
think we’re a large family.  Founded in 1924, The Everett Clinic is a
nationally recognized, locally-owned physician group located outside of Seattle
in a naturally beautiful region.  We are known for providing high-quality
healthcare services while lowering the overall cost of care.  Our 500
specialty and primary providers care for more than 300,000 patients at nine
locations throughout Snohomish County.

The hospital team physician is responsible for staffing the 24X7 hospital team and providing excellent care to
patients.

Serve the entire Everett medical community as requested by serving as attending physician for adult medical-surgical patients over age 16. Support the current emergency room back
up system by assuming inpatient care for the PCP on call for unassigned
emergency room backup patients, according to the posted schedule. For patients
admitted to the team, serve as general manager of their care, planning and
organizing their evaluation and treatment in a cost-effective manner, using
appropriate specialty care and other hospital resources and being sensitive to
the usual referral patterns of the patient’s outpatient physician. Utilize
evidence-based approaches to care, and when appropriate, adhere to guidelines

and standardized orders approved by the medical staff.

When possible, evaluate potential
admissions in the emergency room to triage them to the most appropriate level
of care. Work with hospital pharmacists to develop and implement cost-effective
high quality drug treatments. Endeavor to keep up with developments in internal
medicine in general and inpatient care specifically, by literature review, CME
courses, and meetings with the team members. Assume any other duties as may be
reasonably requested by the TEC associate medical director for quality and
utilization.

Requirements:

A degree
in medicine from an accredited medical school and successful completion of
Residency/Fellowship at an accredited program. Board Certified or Board
Eligible, must be certified within 4 years of residency completion. Medical
License to practice in the State of Washington required.
