This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the largest multi-specialty physician group in the region Colorado and Western Kansas. The schedule is 7 on 7 off from 7AM to 7PM. Hospitalist will respond to limited codes, no procedures are required but you can perform them if you desire. The facility has a closed ICU and has 24 hour radiology. you can expect to see around 18 patients per day. You can expect a salary in the 50 to 75th percentile with production and quality bonuses along with a comprehensive benefits package including sign on, relocation, student loan repayment and more. Work in a beautiful newly built patient tower, all private rooms with state-of-the-art equipment. The right candidate will join an established group serving communities in southwest Kansas and surrounding region which make up a medically under-served market. The physician will work hand-in-hand with a mid-level to assist them on their shift. The Hospital is quickly becoming a regional hospital with specialists who provide residents comprehensive care close to home. Practice in a busy and exciting hospital with dedicated staff. Work with a supportive community of physicians and impeccably trained and proactive staff. All trauma cases are transferred to Wichita, Kansas by Eagle Med via a fixed wing aircraft located at the airport only 10 minutes away from hospital. The hospitalist manages the medical care of hospitalized patients. This care includes the diagnoses and treatment of patients from admission to discharge. The hospitalist promotes high quality, cost-effective patient care while maintaining patient, family and staff satisfaction. aC/Applies evidence-based medical protocols to assure the delivery of quality care aC/Supports the treatment plan and coordinates follow-up care with the primary care physician aC/Facilitates the transition of the patient to a lower or higher level of care when appropriate aC/Provides services, treatment and care to meet the patientsa immediate acute care needs (includes codes and Rapid Response) aC/Consults with sub-specialty physicians when appropriate aC/Manages care of patients transfer to in-patient Hospice in collaboration with the Hospice Medical Director aC/Coordinates direct and ER admissions aC/Partners with Case Management, Social Work and PCC to develop and monitor the discharge plan to reduce avoidable hospital days aC/Monitors all interventions (lab, pharmacological, etc.) to assure effective, quality care that is cost effective aC/Develops or follows clinical pathways to decrease length of stay, as defined in current organizational Goals & Objectives.
