Independent Contractor Hospitalist (Nocturnist) Position Need 4-5 Hospitalists as they take over the Hospitalist program They are also recruiting for 1-2 Nocturnists to be part of the team Will have 1 Hospitalist/1 Mid-level at night. Nocturnists can make up their own schedule as long as it fits coverage and is at least 2000 hours per year (ie: 7/7, 10/10, 14/14, etc....) If they have 1 Nocturnist then the other Hospitalists would work out the schedule to cover the other 1/2 of the nights during the month. If they have 2 Nocturnists then the 2 would work out the schedule together It is an open ICU but really sick and unstable patients are seen by the intensivists. Procedures are optional. Lot of procedures are done by radiology. The ones the Hospitalists end up doing commonly are central line or spinal tap but specialists are available if a Hospitalist is uncomfortable doing those. Goal is to have 6 Hospitalists and 8 mid-levels and expand to at least 10 Hospitalists and 20 mid-level after they are established. Part of this team would be the 2 Nocturnists. Hospitalists - need to have an independent mentality. Want to be in their own group and manage themselves.
