Neuro Hospitalist - Physician - (Neurology - Neuro) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 06/08/2016Available Shifts: 12 Hour/Day

A Central Tennessee hospital is seeking a neuro-hospitalist for locum tenens coverage beginning in June until a permanent physician can be found. Provider will work an alternating weekly schedule with the other neuro-hospitalist on staff, including night call. Stroke certification is preferred. A neuro hospitalist (locum tenens) is a hospital based neurologist, who is specially trained in vascular neurology and/or neuro critical care.  A neuro hospitalist will see inpatient neurology consults and manage neurology inpatient services, specifically within the care of patients admitted to the hospital with a wide array of nervous system disorders. Neuro hospitalists evaluate and treat a multitude of conditions including: acute stroke, nervous system cancer, seizure disorders, altered mental status, headaches and neuromuscular respiratory failure.
