Seeking a Texas licensed Family Practice Physician to provide ongoing call coverage on a Locum basis for Texas hospital.

• Hospitalist
• 4-6+ shifts per month
  
• April 2024 ongoing
  
• 12hr shifts
  
• Advance Practice Provider Support
  
• # of patients per day:up to 14 per shift; recent average is 8 admits/night. Cross-cover for inpt census
  
• % Adult / Peds:100% adult
  
• Procedures not required. ER responds to codes to secure airway, but must be comfortable with short term vent management.
  
• Open ICU (~20 beds). Pulm/CC, Cardiology, and most specialties on call. Neuro available via Telehealth.
  
• Hospitalist group admits for most specialties. Hospital is a regional referral center for nearby communities and direct admissions from outside ERs and inpatient units is common.
  

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  
• Valid medical license in Texas
  
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current medical practices
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Current CV (month/year format)
• Clean file / background / NPDB
• Must be authorized to work in the US
