Outstanding and profitable community hospital in southern Indiana seeks a BC emergency medicine physician for replacement of a couple of long-term associates that will be slowing down and working less starting this summer. Join a collegial group of 10 EM docs that work very well together and truly function as a team. Ideally, they'd like to have a doc that prefers to work nights, but someone that wants a mix of days and nights will be equally considered. What they cannot accommodate is a full-time daytime EM physician.
They work 10-hour shifts and average 15 shifts per month. Their emergency department sees 30,000 annual visits and the hospital is roughly 150 beds in size. They are working towards becoming a level III trauma center in the near future and want to bring someone on board that will fit well with the group's team-oriented approach. It is an employed position but the compensation is excellent with an RVU and patient satisfaction incentive bonus over and above your guaranteed compensation. As well, there is a great benefits package. Potential for $400K plus W-2 income annually is easily achieveable. Preference is for EM residency training, but candidates with FP/IM residency and EM board certification are potentially viable candidates. The town is very nice with solid school systems and outdoor recreation amenities galore within an hour in all directions. There would be the option of living in Indianapolis, Louisville, or Evansville if the candidate would be willing maintain a residence in town for their weeks of work.
