Locums - Waterloo, Iowa, Endocrinology JobClinical Role:

- Start: 7/1/24
- Clinic only Monday-Friday, 6+ month assignment
- 8a-5p, 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Need to be able to see new patients and follow ups
- At least 12 patients per day
- no procedures
- Treatments required: full spectrum endocrinology. We also do bone density in this clinic. We do have a stand along cancer treatment center within a few blocks, so cancer patients can be referred there for specific cancer treatments but would follow up with endo for ongoing care.
- Must be willing to prescribe anti-obesity meds (phentermine, Topamax, wegovy, etc) along with the following patients (via labs and/or visits) for drugs such as methimazole and levothyroxine. A lot of diabetic patients. We have diabetic educators that can assist with education and sensor downloads.
- Diabetes, cushings, graves, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, parathyroid carcinoma, adrenal cancer, thyroid cancer
- EMR: EPIC
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of training)
- IA license - Required (non-licensed candidates will be redirected)
- BLS or ACLS - willing to obtain
- Must be local - Required
- Iowa Medicaid Enrolled - Preferred
- Must be available full-time - required
