We’d like to extend a big thank-you to everyone who participated in our annual “Give a Dog a Bone” 5K run/walk last weekend, helping us to raise funds for Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation in Fairfield, Iowa. Thanks to you, we raised more than $2,000 for the shelter!
The sun was out, the sky was blue, and so many of our friends in Fairfield came out to support this worthy cause. Meanwhile, generous donations keep coming in through the “virtual race” being held by Smokey and Pugly. It’s amazing how tech-savvy two pugs can be, especially considering their advanced age!
Speaking of Smokey and Pugly, PhysEmp COO’s faithful companions managed to tear themselves away from their Instagram account to visit their fans at the race. You’ll note Pugly (lower right) is wearing a cast but he showed up anyway. Anything for the fans.
They weren’t the only ones to make an appearance at Chautauqua Park on June 18! We had a very large turnout this year—our biggest yet.
Some people strolled, others jogged, and some felt the need for speed! This year’s winners were: 1st – Jim Mitchell, 2nd – Alexis Shull, 3rd – David Runion, 4th – Paul Strubell, 5th – Haylee Gilpin, 6th – Todd Burkhardt.
Dog lovers of all ages showed up to support the cause! And there was lots of kidding around in all age groups.
Once again, we thank everyone who participated—especially our kind sponsors.

Because of your help, Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation is better able to offer food, shelter, medical care, comfort and, above all, a second chance to furry friends in need.
